Bound Together

Bound Together is an immersive installation in collaboration with the Center for Safety & Change, celebrating 45 years of the organization’s dedication to supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and the ongoing fight for social justice.

The cyanotype collection and murals reflect the labor and care involved in preserving our collective memory of feminist social movements.

It first begins with meticulous historical research and the creation of mixed-media digital collages drawn from archival images.

Exposed to UV light, these artworks then reveal deep blue images that piece together disparate histories, voices, and experiences.

The resulting installation, alongside video art documenting the process, are transformed into carriers of memory,  inviting us to reflect on the histories embedded within the images — stories of struggle, solidarity, and survival.

These prints offer more than a linear recounting of the past; they weave together a rich tapestry of feminist memory that incites us to remember — and, importantly, to examine how and what we’ve forgotten.

This exhibition would not have been possible without the dedication, vision, and unwavering support of those contributing to its creation.

To the collaborating artists, activists, and historians who have lent their voices and stories, and to the countless individuals whose labor—often unseen—helped bring these prints and narratives to life, I offer my deepest gratitude. I would especially like to acknowledge the following people whose invaluable contributions have enriched this project beyond measure:
